Hated by Angle?!

Everyone seems to be having a pop at Manchester United at the moment. After Lionel Messi’s astonishing outburst against Cristiano Ronaldo, we’ve had a week of Rafa Benitez tearing into Sir Alex Ferguson. The tirade of abuse has now gone stateside with former WWF wrestler launching an attack on Ronaldo ahead of a wrestling tour of the United Kingdom.

Angle, hyping up the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling tour of the UK, has launched an attack on Ronaldo following the player's recent high-profile car accident.

The former Olympic gold medallist has also advised Ronaldo to quit the "girl's game" of football and become a TNA wrestler. How bizarre.

"I should officially request that the British government detain Ronaldo for the time in which myself and the rest of the Main Event Mafia are in the city of Manchester for TNA's Maximum Impact Tour.

"His inability to drive, combined with his natural weakness as a soccer player, would make navigating the United Kingdom far too risky for an international celebrity such as myself with a pathetic fool like that out on the streets.

"Unlike Ronaldo or any other soccer player, I am recognized as international star both by the United Kingdom and the far more politically and economically important United States.

"Because I will be flying into the Manchester Airport near the site of the crash, I can offer Ronaldo driving lessons in addition to giving him other tips on how to compose himself like a real sports star - the American way.

"Lesson number one - soccer is a girl's game in the United States, and since we set the rules across the globe, Ronaldo should abandon the sissy English game and get in the six sided ring of TNA like a real American."

Clearly, Ronaldo is so little "recognised" that a professional wrestler is aware of his driving exploits! This one's unbelievable!

Kurt Angle and Ronaldo are pretty similar in my opinion, they're both up there in the top names of their respective sports (if you class pro wrestling as a sport), they are both more interested in what the press have to say than how their club/company are doing, and they both feign injury every time they perform.

That's because (and this is an important point here) he's a FOOTBALL player. He's not a wrestler so why would he need to do those things? Ronaldo could just as easily attack Angle by asking him why he can't play football. It's a ridiculous comparison.
