Derby County forward Rob Hulse admits that his team require a "massive performance" if they're to get anything out of Wednesday's League Cup semi-final, first-leg clash with United. The Championship club enter the game as under-dogs as both teams look to book a ticket to Wembley to face either Spurs or Burnley.

Sir Alex Ferguson is not expected to play his strongest possible XI on Wednesday as the United boss tries to deal with a hectic January schedule.

However, Derby striker Hulse still thinks it'll be a huge achievement for his side to secure a positive result against the Red Devils.

"Hopefully we can get something out of the game so that it is all to play for when we go up there, but it is going to take a massive performance from us to achieve that." said the former Leeds man.

"We are going to have to be organised as a team and everyone is going to have to be at their best, then we are going to have to hope that some of their players have an off-day."

29-year-old Hulse joined Derby in July 2008 for £1.75million. The player has 8 Rams goals to his name from 29 appearances and is one of the names United's backline must be most wary of when the two teams lock-horns.
