Reports in the British press are claiming that attacking-midfielder Zoran Tosic has rejected a contract offer from Manchester United. The club had an offer accepted by Partizan Belgrade for the highly-rated attacking midfielder somewhile ago, but the deal could be scuppered as personal terms have not been agreed.
Sir Alex Ferguson has already said that he is unlikely to make any significant moves during the January transfer window - but United's interest in Tosic has been known for somewhile.
The quick-footed winger - who can also play in attacking midfield - looked set to complete a move to Old Trafford after a fee was agreed with Partizan. A work permit was also confirmed and the player successfully came through a medical.
However, the 21-year-old is alleged to be hugely disappointed by the contract offered to him by United and the deal could now be off.
Reports claim that Arsenal and bitter-rivals Manchester City have been alerted by the situation and will now look to gazump United's bid to sign the Serbian international.
