Manchester United defender David Gray has joined Plymouth on loan until the end of the season. The 20-year-old, who has previously spent loan spells with Royal Antwerp and Crewe, is captain of United's reserves and will be hoping to prove his worth to Sir Alex Ferguson during a six-month spell with the Devon club.
The move has been in the pipeline for some time and was confirmed on New Year Day when the transfer window opened.
Gray has only one senior United appearance to his name - which came in a League Cup match at Crewe. He was late-on in the second-half.
Sir Alex Ferguson has given Gray permission to play in Plymouth's F.A Cup tie with Arsenal on the weekend and any subsequent Cup matches.
