Sir Alex Ferguson will renew rivalries with Jose Mourinho in the last 16 of the European Cup. United will battle it out with Inter Milan - with Friday’s Champions League draw producing a series of thrilling ties. The Italians are considered one of the favourites to lift 'Old Big Ears' come May and, thus, the Red Devils face a hugely difficult task if they’re to retain their continental crown.
United will travel to the San Siro for the first leg on either the 24th of 25th of February for a truly mouth-watering encounter.
The tie will see Fergie come face-to-face with fierce adversary Mourinho. The two-men clashed on several occasions whilst the "Special One" was at Chelsea - and the second round encounter will also bring back memories of Mourinho's infamous run down the touchline after Porto grabbed a last-gasp away goal winner at Old Trafford on their way to Champions League glory.
All four English clubs face difficult ties - with Chelsea taking on Juventus, the Scousers battling it out with Real Madrid and Arsenal facing Roma. The full draw is listed below:
Chelsea v Juventus
Villarreal v Panathinaikos
Sporting Lisbon v Bayern Munich
Atletico Madrid v FC Porto
Lyon v Barcelona
Real Madrid v Liverpool
Arsenal v Roma
Inter Milan v Manchester United
