Manchester United will look to kickstart their season on Sunday afternoon as they travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea. The last time the two teams met was, of course, in Moscow where John Terry slipped and United lifted the European Cup for a third time. This time around, Chelski will be eager for revenge and know a win will give them a nine point advantage over the Champions.

United go into Sunday's game with the knowledge that defeat will not only leave them nine points behind Chelsea - but could also see them sink into the relegation zone.

Cristiano Ronaldo is desperate to start the game after an impressive 25-minute cameo appearance against Villarreal. He could start alongside Dimitar Berbatov and Carlos Tevez in an attacking trio; with bench-bound Wayne Rooney likely to pay the price for a lack of goals.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Sir Alex Ferguson may keep faith in Johnny Evans at centre-half with Nemanja Vidic unavailable. The Ulsterman impressed in the Champions League on Wednesday night and may have won Fergie's trust to deal with Chelsea's attacking threat.

It's a crucial game for United who have won only won game in 'regulation time' from six attempts this season.
