FC United of Manchester started life in the Northern Premier League with an entertaining 3-3 draw against Matlock Town. 2,344 were at Gigg Lane as Kyle Wilson scored twice for the Red Rebels - with Chris Bagguley snatching the point in the closing seconds. FCUM showed plenty of character as they twice came from behind to bag the draw.
Ross Hannah put Matlock in front; but the hosts fought back and a quick-fire brace from Wilson turned the game on its head.
Hannah equalised before half-time and Dene Cropper looked to have sealed the win for the Gladiators - but FC levelled the scores in the dying moments through Bagguley.
Karl Marginson's side continue their NPL campaign on Tuesday with an away-trip to Cammell Laird.
