Four Manchester United players have been named in Fabio Capello’s England squad for Wednesday's friendly against the Czech Republic. Wesley Brown, Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick and Wayne Rooney are all included in the 23-man list. Emile Heskey and Theo Walcott are in - whilst Peter Crouch and Ashley Young miss out.
Heskey's inclusion is the biggest surprise as England look forward to hosting the Czechs at Wembley on Wednesday evening.
Portsmouth's £11million summer signing Crouch is a surprise omission, whilst many expected Aston Villa's pacey midfielder Young to be named.
Dean Ashton, who scored twice in front of Capello on the weekend, is unavailable after picking up a calf problem. He may well have got the nod ahead of Heskey.
Former Red David Beckham is also included and will be hoping to add to his 102 caps and 17 international goals.
