Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been named in the Norway squad for their upcoming friendly against Brazil, prompting fury from United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

The 33-year-old looks to back in the Red Devils fold after almost two years on the sidelines through injury, but that hasn't stopped Norway boss Age Hareide including the forward in his latest international squad.

The friendly in Oslo takes place just four days before United kick-off their Premiership season at home to Fulham, and Ferguson feels that asking Solskjaer to make a return to the international stage so soon after his injury problems is "asking too much".

"At the age of 33, it's going to be so difficult for Solskjaer to concentrate on international football." said the Scotsman.

"I am not saying that in a selfish way, I just feel it is difficult enough for him to complete a comeback as it is."

Solskjaer impressed during United's vigorous pre-season schedule, and looks set to once again play a pivotal role in the first-team following the high-profile departure of Ruud Van Nistelrooy. The player is sure to be delighted at his recall to the international scene, but his inclusion looks certain to spark another club against country row.
