Ruud Van Nistelrooy is on the verge of leaving Manchester United after the club accepted an offer from Spanish giants Real Madrid. Sir Alex Ferguson has accepted a bid said to be in the region of £10.5million for the Dutch star.
Manchester United have accepted an offer from Real Madrid for want-away striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
Reports suggest the La Liga giants have offered United an attractive 'up front' payment of £10.5million for the player's services, though this does fall some £4.5million of the club's valuation for the player. However, with the new season looming large, Sir Alex Ferguson looks to have cashed in on the prolific forward and now comes the formalities of agreeing personal terms and the medical.
The Dutchman has scored an amazing 150 United goals since joining the club from PSV Eindhoven five years ago. However, he now looks certain to have made his last appearance for the club with the player now in talks with Madrid and a move looking set to be completed by the end of the week.
