| Recent Form : Despite the disappointment of last Saturday's scoreless draw at home to Stirling Albion, Queen's are still on a three match unbeaten run; something they haven't done all that often this season. Montrose arrive at Hampden on the back of some mixed results which have severely jolted their promotion aspirations. Last week's essential 1-0 win at home to Elgin keeps them in the hunt, but two more wins for Dumbarton in their remaining three games would effectively kill off the Mo challenge, as would anything other than an away win on Saturday. | ||||
| Likely Outcome : Despite their two wins over The Spiders at Links Park this season, Montrose were fortunate to escape with a point from the previous game at Hampden. There is more pressure on them than Queen's, and this may be a telling factor as the poor Hampden pitch is such a great leveller to the extent that the team which desires victory the most will probably emerge victorious. The gloom of a long journey north following an end to their promotion dreams will hang like a cloud over their players if Queen's can take the lead, at which point heads could drop and the heart disappear from their game. For that reason, and given that Queen's defence has looked strong of late, a surprising 3-0 shock home win would end the season nicely for those Spiders who elect not to follow Queen's away from Hampden. | ||||
