Dundee Match Report from todays game against the Steelmen, Motherwell. Where Dundee took the lead from a good goal from Steven Lovell but lost the match after a poor second half display.

Nemsdaze failed a late fitness test with Nacho Novo on the bench

Dundee started well with a good corner early on which was easily cleared from Martyn Corrigan.

After a good start to the game Dundee got there goal which came in the 14th minute after a good cross by Barry Smith from the right wing picked Steven Lovell up on the left side of the penalty area to head the ball into the goal.

Motherwell kicked off brighty and were looking for the equaliser and in the 15th Steve Ferguson had a good shot from 20 yards and hut the ball just over the bar.

In the 33rd Minute Dundee had a good chance with a well taken shot from Steven Lovell which could have gave him his second of the day but was well saved by Stevie Woods.

In the 35th Minute Fabian Caballero had a great shot from 25 yards which was just tipped over the bar by Stevie Woods.

In the 37th minute James McFadden had a good shot which was blocked by Lee Wilkie and cleared.

In the 55th Minute James McFadden scored with a header after a cross from Steve Ferguson.

Just after Motherwell levelled they had the chance to go ahead after a drilling shot by Martyn Corrigan which he just missed.

It was then Dundee's chance to score when Douglas Ramsey tackled Steven Lovell to give Dundee a free kick the free kick was then taken by Jonay Hernadez and was headed by Tom Hutchinson from 6 yards and he just missed.

In the 73rd Minute Nacho Novo was brought on for Steven Lovell to try and spice the game up for Dundee.

The game finished 1-1 and Dundee were fairly lucky to leave with a point after a poorer second half display against Motherwell.
