SUNDAY OPINION WITH CURVE_BALL

I dunno about the rest of you but I was a bit disappointed with the whole thing at East End today. 0-6 going on 0-12!!! Really grim. In a sense, I look at this as a defeat for all of us. I mean the other '10', that is. To explain, two weeks ago Dunfermline and Dundee put on a great show which resulted in a 4-2 home win. Ok, we got gubbed but there was plenty in the game for both sides to get excited about. You could see the Pars were confident, committed and quite skilful. There was a bit of promise about them. Today another team in blue visited East End. Packed with internationals, they battered the Pars to bits. And I mean bits. Did you see the looks on some of the Dunfermline players faces after the game? What a difference from when they played us. It is this difference, however, which sums up the inequality in our league.

The biggest disappointment of all was that it was all so predictable. I knew Rangers would win today, it was just a case of by how many. This wasn't the case when Dundee visited. The game was tied going into the last 15 minutes and this made for a thrilling finale. Fair enough, if you asked me, I would always say that I HOPED for a 6-0 Dundee win at East End but there is just about nil chance of me ever getting it. This is what makes a competitive league.

What will today's thumping to do to the morale of all at East End Park?

How will it affect their performance next week? How will it affect their performance the next time they play Rangers?

Why should Dunfermline (and the other '10') have to get thumped every now and again?

How long are we going to put up with this unsatisfactory and uncompetitive competition?

When are we going to get rid of the OF?
