Three goals in the first half is too much for Convey Island as the Shaymen keep pace for a playoff spot. The match ends with some home fans making racial comments to two Convey players. The Shaymen score three in the first half of play. Craig Midgley scored in the 23rd minute of play. Two minutes later Neil Ross scores on a PK. Martin Foster puts in the third goal of the match in the 35 th minute off a cross from Alex Meecham.

The second half saw Convey Island score their only goal in the 75th minute of play as Ben Sedgemore headed in a goal. Craig Midgley, the South Stand Bar Man of the Match, scored his second goal of the match just before full time.  The win moves Halifax Town to thrid place in the table.
