My first visit to the Shay ends in disappointment as too much rain makes the pitch unfit to play on. the match is to be replayed on the 30th of March.

Halifax Town vs Burton Albion

I make it over to Halifax Town just to see the match get called off due to a soggy pitch. So instead of a match report I will give you a fan report.
We arrived at the Shay around noon time but the South Stand Lounge was not open.



So we went to the pitch and at that time the rain had held off and the pitch looked in good shape.
The South Stand Bar had opened up so we gathered for some pints. I had given the bar some photos of The Timbers 2002 team and the supporters the Timbers Army.
Then the heavens opened up and it spelled doom for the match as the officials called it off. Someone came into tha bar to tell us the news and my qwest to see a match and do a report was over. I did get to see Simon of the SDS, Gavin, Robert, The Shay Dog, Richard, the ever amusing Stuart, and the rest.

We drank our sarrows away as the bar was closing up and headed uptown for one more pint.

I want to say that it was super to meet you all and maybe next time I am in Halifax Town I can get some good photos of the match and post a match report.
