First Half

08 1-0 Staines defender Sills headed into his own goal from a Town free kick. Monington looked to have pushed the defender, before his header rose high into the net.

38 Battams got the ball inside the box from a Staines corner and rattled the underside of the Town bar.

Second Half

48 1-1 Ibe and Joe combined, with a swift one-two down the middle from half way, Monington got in the way, but Ibe ran off with the ball, beating Cartwright with an acute shot from the left.

Staines keeper Lovett wasted 45 seconds with every goal-kick. Staines players fell down all over the park time wasting.

Farrell had town’s best two chances a shot just wide bottom left of the post and a lovely header (assisted by a Staines defender nutting him in the back of the head) that flew just over the crossbar.

4 minutes of added time were indicated by the 4^th official, but only 3 minutes were played. Nobody minded because it had been crap.

Poor Town have it all to do again on Thursday at Staines. Then home on Saturday to Forest Green in the Conference, if Town lose or Maidenhead in the Trophy if they get lucky.
