| August 18th Jake Sagare's brilliant run saves the day, Timbers win 1-0 over Seattle Facing elimination from the playoff race if they lost, the Timbers defeated the Seattle Sounders for the first time at PGE Park this season, after Jake Sagare made a 40 yard run, stunning three Seattle defenders with a brilliant move near the top of the box, then blasting a shot inside the left post for the only goal in a 1-0 victory over the Sounders. The Timbers still need to wins over El Paso plus a Whitecaps loss to make the playoffs
