The Minnesota Thunder outplay the Timbers for most of the match and win with a golden goal in over time. the Thunder stop the Timbers winning streak a 4games.

| July 25th in Minnesota Minnesota controled the play in this match and were able to put the Timbers away in overtime on a golden goal by Amos Magee two minutes into the overtime period. Portland did have some chances to win the match as McKinley Tennyson had shots turned away by Joe Warren in the Thunders net. |
