Nottingham Forest Football Club have quashed reports that Mick Hartord is set to replace manager Joe Kinnear at the City Ground.

It has recently been speculated that chairman Nigel Doughty has lost patience with the former Wimbledon boss and has finally decided that he is not the right man for the job.

But Forest are insistent Kinnear will remain in charge: "We can confirm Mick Harford is going to join the club as a coach, working under the manager.

"There is no truth in reports Joe is no longer the manager, it's pure nonsense. Joe remains our manager, he is in work as normal today and is looking forward to our next game."
