It is important to highlight the past of both the Western Bulldogs and also Footscray sonce 1925. During that time, several captains have had mixed success, often captaining in a lean period for the club. But all have played a part in the history of the Bulldogs. Before I provide the full list of captains, I would like to remind everyone that this list does not include acting captains. If anyone has been a acting captain then I would like to acknowledge the part that they have played in the history of the club.
