Felipe Massa will contest the 8th annual 500 mile karting race at Grandja Viana in his home country of Brazil. The 2004 race will see him team up with former Ferrari F1 test driver Luciano Burti. Massa has won this race two times in its seven year history. He took his first win in 1997, then won again in 2002 teamed up with Ferrari F1 driver Rubens Barrichello and IRL champion Tony Kanaan. Last year's race saw the team of Massa, Barrichello, Kanaan and Marco Andretti finish 13th place after a penalty for a technical infraction. On 13 November Massa will chase after this third win, competing against a field of 74 teams which include F1 drivers Barrichello, Coulthard and Montoya.
