Malaysian Minister Visits SAUBER PETRONAS Factory

SAUBER MOTORSPORT AG and SAUBER PETRONAS ENGINEERING AG received a distinguished visitor today: after the Malaysian Minister of Youth and Sports, Datuk Azalina binti Othman Said, had been Peter Sauber’s guest at the Hungarian Grand Prix on Sunday. The Minister – accompanied by her delegation – included a visit to the Formula 1 team in Hinwil on her European itinerary on Monday.

In addition to a tour of the new wind tunnel and the Formula 1 factory, the programme featured a visit to SAUBER PETRONAS ENGINEERING AG (SPE), where the Minister was informed about joint projects of SPE and PETRONAS.

This visit of a high-ranking member of the Malaysian government underlines the close relations between Team Principal Peter Sauber and Malaysia as well as the excellent cooperation between PETRONAS and the Swiss Formula 1 team which has meanwhile spanned the period of almost a whole decade.
