Sunday 7/7/02 at Hurst Cross KO 3:30pm. Steve Molloy faces a baptism of fire this weekend as the Roughyeds take on Leigh Centurions, one of the NFP's strongest sides. Oldham know that will need to play much better and tighten up their defence if they are to stand any chance of beating Centurions....
Thankfully the Roughyeds have not suffered any more serious injuries and now have both Phil Farrell and Joey Hayes back to somewhere close to full fitness.

Oldham's new player-coach Steve Molloy faces a tough opening match against one of the strongest sides in the NFP. Although Centurions are not as invinsible as they were last season they are still a force to be reckoned with and will provide the Roughyeds with one of their toughest matches of the season. Oldham have been very inconsistent all season and know that they need to tighten up their defence and concentration in they are to stand any chance of beating Leigh on Sunday.
