The following is taken from the Pie and Bovril site and relates to Queen of the South's visit to Dens Park on the 11th of February.

• "That's the most unwelcome I've ever been made to feel at a football ground in the last 30 years. A total disgrace. The policing was completely over the top. Never mind obstructed views from the antiquated old stand, I could hardly see the pitch for being surrounded by police and stewards. A steady stream of Queens fans seemed to be getting evicted for having the temerity to stand up (or equivalent "offences"). Even the guys who were attempting to have a bit of banter with the police at the start were being threatened with eviction. The police were wading into the Queens fans (on several occasions blocking my view) and throwing their weight around at the slightest excuse. When I complained that the policing was heavy-handed and unnecessary I was told in no uncertain terms that if I didn't like it I didn't have to come back and if I complained any more I'd get thrown out too. £16 to spend the afternoon in a maximum security jail: superb value.
  
  At least the result, and the Queens performance, compensated for the disgraceful treatment at the hands of the idiots masquerading as the Dundonian police."

My personal belief is that Tayside Police were making an example as a warning to us, maybe paranoid but when a team brings a hundred or so supporters to your ground they tend be be ignored, When Airdrie arrive on Tuesday with maybe 7-800 fans in full voice they will be looking to make a point. Can I advice the Tayside Police to get in contact with their counterparts in charge of the game against Kilmarnock a few years ago. Oh and for anyone wondering I have very good information that every message will be getting scrutinised so yes they will be reading this.

I expect to be bullied, harassed and examples set very early on and unfortunately I can see some of our fans missing what could be a fantastic game.

A lesson Tayside police have never learned, leave us alone during the game and we will enjoy ourselves, we will stand and sing and do what we can to enjoy the football and then leave in peace. 

I can't see it happening and unfortunately the Airdrie fans will be forced to be the fall guys yet again.
