One of our younger members have asked me to share this with you, it's a little personal report on yesterday match. I hope you enjoy it and agree with some of the sentiment. I have just witnessed something very special; I felt I have to write about the most amazing day of my life. I am probably a woman’s worst nightmare, because I never shut up about football, well to simplify it, Airdrie.

Yesterday we had Dunfermline in the cup and it will go down, now as the most amazing football match in my life for drama, football, atmosphere and the romance of the cup producing such an amazing match and a shock result seeing Airdrie dump Dunfermline.

Due to it being a sort of special day I went to stay at Dougie's the night before and I'm sure he can vouch for me by telling you how excited I was, I woke him up at 4am, Buzzing singing, dancing, the whole lot.

Up to my house earlier in morning whilst on the way up I thought I would steal "Teresa's" birthday banner, Quickly got changed and into the top and scarf and away.

Into the pub for a while before it for a few games of pool and a pre match drink then it was up to the bus with our large red and white flag. The bus journey up was fun since I was the idiot that locked the toilet door from the outside; Let me tell you, I got plenty of stick for that. Unlike some I wasn't drinking which I was actually greatful for since I can remember this momentous day.

I arrived at the ground and handed over my ticket then I was in, another ground that I can add to my list (which is rapidly growing) in which grounds I have visited. The stadium its self is actually really nice and I wouldn’t mind returning, (Lets face I probably will next year when they are relegated)

Steak bridie I had in there was lovely, probably the best steak pie I have ever had at the football

The match - I am not a reporter, Therefore I am not going to tell you about the game its self as the TV, Papers, and Internet etc has already given the reports.

But the atmosphere in the stadium was amazing, With the B to the left of us Clan Chief, Andy Waite and all them to the right and all the guys from the Allstars in front and of course yours truly and the Ultras behind, it caused a great atmosphere, The flags on show was great too.

I sound as if I'm repeating Sandy here by saying I think I went through every emotion yesterday, but - it’s true.

Joy - the Airdrie goals
Despair - the Dunfermline goals
Anger - the referee and some of his howling decisions
Humour - at the thought of the Dunfermline fans doing easy

The Norrie McCathie thing was all a bit strange for me as I was only educated to why Airdrie fans really hated him and his history by Craig on the way up. None the less I did pay tribute to him, (I'll leave it down to you to think how...)

I wont give you my reaction of how I felt for every goal.

OK - I will....

Pars goal one - My heart sank, Reality was upon us.
Pars goal two - I was certain this could go into a cricket score if things got worse.
Diamonds first goal - Amazment, Suddenly we were celebrating as if we had just won the cup.
Diamonds first equaliser - Joy, The confidence was in Airdrie now, they couldn't take it away
Pars third - Yes they could, I'll be honest, I gave up hope.
Diamonds equalisier - I went nuts when the penality was awarded, Hugging anyone and everyone. I was feeling so sick before Dosser stepped up, I didn't think it was going in. BANG 3-3, Minutes to go, We had got ourselves a replay. I was delirious.
Diamonds clincher - Crossed in, Meets the head of Docherty. Goal!! We had done it. 4-3 to Airdrie, I didn't move, Everyone else went wild, I stood, Silent - then looked up at the sky, Said thanks and then my usual "Get it right round you Barr, We never died!". First person to celebrate with me, Ironically enough was Swifty, Then Allstars gaffer, Then Dougie, Then Moses, Then Blacky, Then Andy, Then Robbie, and last but not least, The one who never gives up hope and proves me wrong everytime, Ceefax.

On the bus journey home for quite some time I just couldn't beleive we had done it, Emotionally wrecked as I heard someone comment. Amazing, Sheer amazing.
Here I am sitting typing the story on the eve of my English exam, I tell you one thing, The writing one aint gonna be hard cause I'm goin to write about the most amazing day of my life....
