As a fore runner to a full review of the year I thought a little interactive topic may be a little more fun, so the 2005 is coming to an end and here is my A-Z of 2005.

A = Airdrie we have re-gained our rightful place is the 1st Division and are proving to others we deserve what we fought so hard for football in Airdrie.

B = Brechin the biggest win of our history in the first division. 6 – 0 to the Diamonds.

C = Christmas and the late present from Dundee as we recover from a two goal deficit to win 2 – 3 on Boxing Day 2006

D = Darts, eventually persuaded Gary C to start up a darts team in Cue Here, the lads are fantastic and soon we will get our first win, I hope!

E = Established, we are now firmly and happily established in the first division

F = Friday Night Football, a wee trip to Dingwall on a Friday night proves yet again that an odd Friday night game is well worth the effort.

G = Goals there have been the spectacular Brian Prunty goal against Dundee on the 10th of Sept is my favourite so far.

H = Hospitals, I am so sick of them, if it’s not broken feet it’s family members having operation, enough is enough.

I = Inconsistency, once again the football get of to a poor start that all changed now but it is one of things we need to get fixed.

J = Jerome, to some fans surprise he departs the Diamonds and joins Ayr United.

K = I suppose I should put my wife Kate in here after she successfully went through and survived a major operation against all the odds, but that is too soppy so I’m choosing Kipling instead because he makes exceedingly good cakes.

L = Leeds 2005, Internazioswally on tour yet again and even with my broken foot in plaster it was still a fantastic weekend.

M = Mark’s two leave the club one goes Ayr and the other to Partick Thistle where they have both found their level.

N = New players arrive at the club, New birth and a new lease of life.

O = Offers made and deals done that saw Alan Gow leave the club for an undisclosed amount speculated to be between 20 and 60 thousand pounds, will we ever know?

P = Prague, a certain Mr Allsops stag weekend taking in the Prague Derby, Gold Fingers and many other sites.

Q = Quips, the users of the Stomp and their jovial manner friendly banter and general love of life and football.

R = Ran…… Nah sorry I won’t mention how P!sh a certain team is and will stick to Respect,  Sandy has once again earned the respect of many of the fans but there are still some that await his next failure and will be sure to let him know it.

S = Scotsport First this could be a good programme if they spent the time to extend the programme, show some full matches and use it as a showcase for the lower divisions.

T = Trips, no not when I fell down the stairs and broke my foot for a second time, the best trip this season has got to be Ross County.

U = Untidy anyone who has enjoyed a trip in my car will know what this relates too.

V = Vilified I love it when Airdrie fans are blamed for any and every little problem no matter where or when it happens.

W = Wan!(ers aimed specifically at stewards and police involved with St Johnstone or Dundee away games and of course all referees.

X = X-Rated just because I can’t think of any other word and it seems to fit

Y = Younger oh how I wish I was and skinnier and with a little more hair

Z =  zzzzzzzzzz if reading this bores you as much as it bored me writing it.
