After a request for an early rise to help remove snow from the ground at the Excelsior Stadium, we await official word but it looks like the match scheduled for a 15:00 kick off will be cancelled. After the heavy snow fall this week and then the freezing temperatures last night there was no chance that the remaining snow/ice could be lifted. We could debate all day the reasons for the cancellation, no under soil heating, having the OF playing at the ground on Tuesday and then being unable to get covers back down there are many reasons. In the end though it all comes down to the shocking weather, if it had continued to snow I think the game would have gone ahead. Apart from lifting the Airdrie lock stock and barrel to Spain or Portugal it is just something we have to accept in Scotland! Or is it?
