We now know who Airdrie will face during season 2016 - 2017 Ayr won todays play off final match leaving Stranraer stranded in Division one, like us a few years ago this may not be the end of the promotion saga for Clyde as Livingston once again seem to be in turmoil.

If things stay the same then we've had a look at what kind of mileage Airdrie fans will do if they attended every away game.

PositionTeamReturn MileageTotal MileagePoints
- Airdrieonians 0 0 0
- Albion Rovers 5.6 11.2 0
- Alloa 53.8 107.6 0
- Brechin 200 400 0
- East Fife 112.8 225.6 0
- Livingston 42.2 84.4 0
- Peterhead 346 692 0
- Queens Park 33 66 0
- Stenhousemuir 35.8 71.6 0
- Stranraer 202 404 0

I made an usumption that every body was leaving from the Excelsiour Stadium to go to the matches, I know no one does, but it's a rough guide to what you can expect next season.

Are there any matches your looking forward to or is it just a case of lets just win it and move on lol.

If Livvy were demoted to League 2 surely Stranraer stay in 1 and on past precedent Clyde would take their place; if going bust completely and expelled from league 2 it would mean the return of East Stirling? It was good to see the pyramid system working.
That would make our travelling slightly less since Broadwood is nearer although during those years many Airdrieonians were lost to a fear of crossing the border to Cumbernauld.

You are correct I did actually mean to put Clyde.

As Livvy appear to have signed Crighton and Lithgow ,presumably on full time contracts, ( and Watt?) it would appear our budget will be less but their "spend today, default tomorrow" will continue.Unlikely that Fitzpatrick will sign on which will please his detractors. Looks like Gorman and McIntosh in central defence ably supported by Hugo. If Livvy collapse, lets hope Clyde take their place but given the season is only 6 weeks away I would not bet on it. Watched the penalties at Ayr on Alba and they must rank as nearly the worst ever by Stranraer to defeat my prediction.
