Prediction League Wk 17 Airdrie 0 Vs. 2 Dunfermline Round up

Airdrie crashed to a 0-2 home defeat to Dunfermline and were lucky enough that once again other league results went our way and this allowed us to maintain our 3rd spot in the league. 

For the second time in a row Gary Bollan opted to play a 4-5-1 at home in what was supposed to strengthen our midfield and hold back the free scoring Dunfermline. Well it worked for 8 minutes when Ryan Wallace combined with Rhys McCabe to allow Michael Moffat to sneak in to the back post and open the scoring.

On 54 minutes Dunfermline doubled thier lead when substitute Shaun Byrne fired home from a Wallace pass.

From memory and believe me its not what it once was I don't think Airdrie had a single shot on goal or even a corner in the first half and it took the substitution of Smith for Hunter on 57 minutes for Airdrie to have any attacking impetuous. But by that time it was far, far to late.
