Airdrieonians part company with Jimmy Boyle

It has been reported by official sources on Twitter and Facebook that after 136 games we have parted company with Jimmy Boyle.

I don't think anyone doubts Jimmy Boyles talent at spotting and bringing through youth players but with a record of 136 games played 41 wins 66 games lost and 29 games drawn it was time for a change.

This season with a record of 4 wins out of 14 the season looked to be heading in a very bad direction. At least now a new manager, hopefully someone with no past connection to the Diamonds, will have a chance of at least keeping us in this division at a minimum.
