Here’s a little over view f the matches I haven’t covered due to computer problems. We have lost seven goals for a return of two and where we had a small gap between us and playoff spot there is only one point.
Anecdotal evidence from different sources points to our manager choosing to play a long ball game, a long ball game to two of the shortest forwards in the league, or alternatively the long ball game in to the corners to wingers with no pace.
Every now and then the team seem to ignore these instructions and when they pass the ball on the ground we can see there are some skills there, but that is far too few and far between.
The Airdrie 2 Vs. 3 Morton result flattered us. Against Greenock Morton we could have been three or four down thanks to the wood work and some fine saves by Kenny Arthur. John Boyles goal at the start of the second half only spurred Morton on. But if not for individual mistakes we could have taken something from the match.
Airdrie 0 Vs. 4 Hamilton – Dear, oh dear, oh dear. Before I say more I’m going to supply a link to the match report from the Ramsden Cup victory from the start of the season. Click Here
Now I know that Jimmy and his back room staff will point to injuries and suspensions but in response I would ask why we are reverting to young untried boys when you have allowed three or four players with first team experience to go out on loan?
Nothing has changed since the Ramsden Cup match Hamilton passed us off the park, they played in an AC Milan style top and the gulf between the two teams…..well you know where I’m going and it’s an exaggeration I admit but I’m struggling to find any positives at all.
In closing if the confidence of the team has gone as reported, bring in someone who can motivate them, if you want to play the ball in to the wings bring in wingers with some pace, if you want to play the long ball to the attack bring in someone tall. If you have no confidence in your midfield that you play a system that constantly misses them out….ach I’ve said enough!
Yours in frustration!!!

Is there anything positive that can be said about these results???
