On the last competitive match to be played on Broomfield Airdrie defeated Dunfermline 1-0 thanks to an own goal by Neale Cooper, that was the 7th of May 1994. Airdrie have not won against Dunfermline in the league since.
Fortunately we can still celebrate the 18th of Feb 1995 Stevie Cooper and A Smith give us a 2-0 win on our way to facing Celtic in the Scottish Cup final.
We can also remember with fondness Saturday 07th of January 2006 Dunfermline 3 -4 Airdrie a Steven McKeown penalty in the 89th minute gave us a hard fought equaliser @ 3-2, then Steven Docherty finished them off in injury time. We came from behind three times in the match first Docherty then Martin Hardie kept us in it. It’s still one of the highlights of the last 10 years.
On to tomorrow’s match – Jimmy Boyle will be without Willie McLaren (possible broken bone in his foot) and Ryan Donnelly (possible ligament damage). Stepping in as a trialist, maybe, Burton O’Brien it’s rumoured we are having a look at him but he’s had offers from other clubs as well.

Airdrie v Dunfermline
Home Win: [6]

Confidence still seems to be pretty low amongst to support it seems, are the two wins against 1st division opposition are still seen as the exception rather than the norm?

2-1 [4]
1-3 [4]
1-2 [6]
1-1 [6]
1-0 [2]
0-3 [4]
0-2 [3]
0-0 [12]
The favoured score just like last week seems to be a 0-0 (12/1 at the bookies) draw, I suspect some people have not made a prediction yet. Other than that the money is on a 1-1 (9/2 at the bookies) draw or a 1-2 (6/1 at the bookies) loss.

I refuse to believe that the scottish cup game against them was 6 years ago !!! Gr8 memory that one.
Anyone else at their park years ago when we were down to 9 men and kenny mcdonald, who had never taken a free kick in his life, put a 25 yard free kick in the top corner ???
