Airdrie as always start at the right end of the table, but it’s a precarious position and one that will no doubt change after the opening salvo of matches are complete.

Jimmy Boyle has decided to send Rickie Lammy and Graeme Goodall out on loan to Bathgate Thistle and Shotts Bon Accord respectively. Jimmy seems to have opted for experience in the left back position.

Today we play Dumbarton the team, as you know, who beat us in the play off final on the final day of the season. Will we be able to get some vengeance for that defeat?  It’s going to be tough as Jimmy also has to contend with his first choice midfielders Nathan Blockley and Sean Lynch serving one match suspensions

Dumbarton will have ex-Diamonds Phil Johnston, Steven McDougall and of course Brian Prunty lining up against us.

The fans are obviously hopeful of a better performance than we had against Queens Park last week.

Over 50% of predictors think we will get a home win.

It looks like we are hoping for a 2-1 home win.

i think 3-0 at half-time with probably Boyle getting a hatrick.
Final score i am still thinking about that but possible 5-0
