After running the idea of using the Prediction League to sponsor a player by a few of my friends it seemed to get a positive response. So I have created a PAYPAL account specifically for this.

I've been trying to come up with ideas to make it a little more interesting, the question is would you pay to win something club related?
What i was thinking about was The Stomp Prediction League sponsoring a player, a list of everyone who donates would be kept and the winner from them would get the sponsored players shirt at the end of the season. Any money left over would also be part of a prize fund.
For a non paying competition I have an idea for a prize and I have already had a prize donated that would be a runners up prize.
Your thoughts please especially from those who took part this season?

<> A very good idea. We had 40 plus entrants taking part this season. Supposing it was £5, or £10 to play then I think it's a def. goer - sponsoring a player helps the club/player and it continues to strengthen the links between the player/club and the fans.
Throw in the signed shirt as 1st prize and a couple of wee giveaways as 2nd & 3rd prizes (e.g. mug/scarf etc..) and you'll have the makings of a tidy competition.

Oh I should also mention that should we not get enough entrants to justify the sponsorship I will return everyone payments in full.

Chris, I would be Interested, But would you be able to put up all the games as I always forget during the past season to update scores so at least I have a score down.
Also anyone want to take a £5er from me and pay it by paypal as my account is locked out and I have forgot my log in details.

You don't actually need a Paypal account when you click on the link it gives you the option to put in your won back details, Paypal is easier to set up compaired to a normal bank account especially for something that may never have taken off..

I have updated the fixtures they now take up up to the Partick Thistle match on the 29th of Dec.
The League cup draw should be tomorrow, although I also heard it was supposed to be yesterday. I will add that to the fixtures once it's drawn.

As of Thursday 19th @ 8:30am we have had 26 paid entrants in to the prediction league and I am now happy to run with that.
I’m now going to leave registration open until Friday 27th of July and confirm with the club that The Stomp will be sponsoring a player this year, thanks to you guys.
If we don’t get any more registered entrants I will make up the missing £20, if we get more it will go to prizes for 2nd and 3rd places.

With the departure of Cammy MacDonald I'm not sure what's going to happen with the sponsorship, will confirm in the new year.
