See what happens when you leave for a few days rest and recuperation, things suddenly get very busy and serious! So trawling over the last few days the highlights package is below.

First of all the Scottish Football league website are showing the highlights of last weeks drubbing of Stirling - click here may I also recommend having a look at the Berwick vs Partick highlights brought a little smile to myself. Airdrie's highlights are 9mins 50secs in.

The signing of Jamie Stevenson can be followed by clicking - SFL, Official, Trust and the Advertiser covers Scott Sally's trial with some Glasgow based team, along with Jamies signing! My own thoughts on the subject, we're sticking a lot of pressure on Jamies shoulders, reading some peoples thoughts they think he could be the difference between promotion and mid-table obscurity, lets take a step back and remember it's a team game and we have still not secured a long term keeper, so a great signing but he won't win the league for us on his own.

Just as important as Stevenson's signing is the piece covered on the official site  relating to the long term future of some of the Airdrie youngsters, contract extensions until 2013 shows the forward planning we've been needing.

The most disappointing news of the week has to be the draw for the Scottish Communites League Cup Round 2 Draw - Raith Rovers at home mmmmm!

Anyway that's a short round up of this weeks news for anyone who may have missed it.
