1995 Cup Final Reunion Night

By Admin
January 4 2008

Over the past five, getting close on six years we have tried to put on events we thought would appeal to all our support and thanks to the trusts hard work, we feel we have put together another special evening. Come and pay your respects to the 1995 cup final team.

Alex MacDonald led the Diamonds to a Cup Final in 1995 against Glasgow Celtic and we are having an evening to celebrate these players and the achievment.

Many of us grew up with the names of these players on the tip of our tongues  Johnny Martin, Jimmy Boyle, Sandy Stewart, Paul Jack, Graham Hay, Jimmy Sandison, Paul Harvey, Kenny Black, Tony Smith, Alan Lawrence,  Steve Cooper, Jim McIntyre and Andy Smith.

Tickets are on sale now from the Trust hatch and cost only £10, it will be held on the evening of the 9th February, ticket sales will be limited by the amount the Rowan Suite can hold and tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis.

Chris Mac - Have you been instructed to remove the paragraph about the member of the trust who wants to keep anonymous.
The net is closing in on her/him, Ive asked a few old friends to look into the identity of this person.

"In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team"

Other than the late Stevie Cooper obviously, how many of the team have confirmed they will attend?

Never really thought about it in that context (As in reserving a table) give Bob Reid a phone and ask him would be my suggestion.

Superb night....excellent banter and stories, and they obviously still have the same camaraderie that they had in the 90's.

Good turnout...present were :- Jimmy Sandison, John Martin, Paul Jack, Andy Smith, Nipper, Graham Hay, Paul Harvey, Kenny Black, Jimmy Boyle, Doddie, and as has been mentioned, Sandy Stewart, who drove straight up from Burnley for the night. Top marks to him for that.

Congrats to all who put it together.
