RMI have a quick chance to make amends for Tuesday night's FA Cup defeat at Gainsborough when they travel to Kettering on Saturday afternoon. RMI missed out on a plum tie with Conference high-flyers York City in the final qualifying round of the world's greatest knock-out cup when they lost 2-1 in Lincolnshire on Tuesday night, and will be desperately looking to make up for that against a Kettering side that also needed a replay in their Third Qualifying Round, overcoming St. Albans City 4-0 in the second game to earn a tie with Conference side Gravesend & Northfleet in the fourth qualifying round.

The Poppies have found themselves to be the subject of national news over the past few weeks with speculation surrounding former England midfielder Paul Gascoigne and a consortium that are looking to take over at Rockingham Road. Although not yet offically completed, it would seem that it is a mere formality with Gazza likely to be present at tomorrow's game ahead of the takeover, with the Northampshire side set to become a fully-professional club during the next few months as a result.

Although Andy Nelson's young charges have been struggling for form of late, they will undoubtedly be keen to do themselves justice in the national spotlight and could be boosted by the possible return of experienced midfield general Gareth Stoker as he looks to recover from a recent injury.

With their third away game in a week coming up at Alfreton on Tuesday night, RMI will be desperate to at least get a point from Kettering and get their stuttering season back on track.
