With Queens doing well in the Scottish League last season they are sure to provide a stern test to a make-shift RMI side, with very few signings made ahead of the start of the pre-season programme, and that is beginning to worry a few RMI fans with the new season barely a month away.

To add the concerns of the RMI faithful, RMI's only significant pre-season signing, former Morecambe striker Nick Rogan, has decided to leave the club following the departure of ex-boss Steve Bleasdale and join Conference North rivals Lancaster City, meaning less travelling time to his club from his north Lancashire base.

Although many see the game virtually as a warm up for next weekend's historic clash at home to FC United of Manchester, which sees the Mancunians make their competitive debut, more than 100 Scots are expected to travel to Lancashire, bringing a much needed boost to RMI's coffers. As always, everyone at Unofficial RMI Online wishes them all the best and that they enjoy their stay in our town, although obviously we'd like RMI to grab a rare victory!
