Salford kick off time changed

Leigh Genesis' Evo-Stik League First Division North fixture away to neighbours Salford City on Saturday 26th March will now kick off two hours earlier than originally scheduled.

The fixture will now be played with a 1pm kick off as opposed to the original 3pm to avoid a clash with the international match between Wales and England that is being played later that afternoon.

Supporters wishing to watch  the international game will be able to do so in the clubhouse at Salford's Moor Lane home immediately after the Salford-Leigh fixture.

As it's only down the road, pity they didn't have the sense to make it a 12 noon kick off. Perhaps there's time to do that yet, might make a difference of 25 or 30 attendees, best part of 200 quid or so.

That wasn't one of the options offered by the league. Plus I'm sure Salford will be looking to have as many people as possible watching the game in their clubhouse and make some money out of it.

I personally don't give a monkey's cuss about England either.
On the plus side it means longer drinking time at our club.
