New Leigh Genesis boss Alan Kershaw will have to wait to make his managerial bow for the club after Tuesday night's scheduled meeting with local rivals Prescot Cables fell victim to the weather.
Having seen their two previous fixtures postponed, it wasn't third time lucky as the Crilly Park pitch failed an inspection this afternoon.
With rain at the weekend sparking hopes of a thaw, temperatures have since plummeted and left the Crilly Park pitch frozen, with the forecast predicting further minus temperatures and no chance of a thaw as a result.
A new date for the fixture will be confirmed in due course.
