Genesis sign mystery man!

Leigh Genesis boss Mark Maddox has boosted his defensive options with the signing of Tony Rendell from Evo-Stik League Division One North rivals Cammell Laird.

Twenty four year Rendell, who has spent the last couple of seasons with Cammell Laird and plays as a centre back, is in line to make his debut tomorrow afternoon when Genesis visit second-placed Chester for a 3pm kick off.

Heard good things about this lad - wouldn't be surprised if he's straight in the side tomorrow unless he's already picked up the bug off the rest of the lads!

Chester fans were very impressed with him as well, reading their board. I think the biggest compliment is that he looks like he's played with us for a while rather than just the one training session!

I'd have thought yesterday was his come back from injury so I'd expect him to at least be on the bench next week.
