England Futsal international Tom Obasi joined Leigh in August 2010 having spent the summer of 2010 on trial with the club. Obasi is a hugely skilful player who is capable of playing on either flank.

Obasi made his Leigh debut as a subsitute in a 4-1 away defeat to Trafford on Saturday 4th September 2010. His full debut arrived three days later in a 1-0 home win over Garforth Town at Crilly Park on Tuesday 7th September 2010.

After making six appearances for Leigh, Obasi left the club in October 2010.
