Leigh Genesis will be looking to build upon their good performance in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Blue Square North side Vauxhall Motors when they travel to North Wales tomorrow evening to take on Cyrmu Alliance outfit Cefn Druids.
The fixture marks their penultimate outing at their iconic Plaskynaston Lane home ahead of a move to a new purpose-built stadium in the coming weeks.
The hosts have had a gruelling pre-season campaign, having already played eleven friendly fixtures, losing just one in a 2-1 home defeat to Penycae and victories including a 3-0 win over a visiting Wrexham XI.
The two sides haven't met in recent history, with Leigh's last cross-border fixture a 1-0 league defeat to Colwyn Bay last September, while Leigh's last meeting with a Welsh league side was a 3-2 friendly defeat away to Caernarfon Town in August 2007.
With Leigh's Evo-Stik League Division One North campaign beginning on Saturday 21st August when Curzon Ashton are the visitors to Crilly Park for a 3pm kick off, the trip to Wales is the penultimate chance for Mark Maddox to take a look at any trial players ahead of the start of the league campaign, with Leigh's final pre-season friendly coming away to Evo-Stik Premier League side Ossett Town a week on Saturday (14th August, 3pm kick off).
Kick off on Tuesday evening is at 6.45pm, with admission costing just £2 for adults and £1 for concessions.
