Leigh Genesis look to recover from their disappointing midweek defeat to Kendal Town on Saturday afternoon when they travel over the Pennines to face play-off chasing Guiseley.

Despite playing virtually the entire ninety minutes with only ten men on Tuesday evening at Hurst Cross, Leigh were still hugely disappointed not to get anything from a game in which they had more than their fair share of chances, with only Chris Thompson's late strike, his third in four games, to show for their efforts.

Hosts Guiseley, who are likely to feature former Genesis defender Jerome Fitzgerald (below) in their line up, go in to the game on the back of a 2-2 draw away to Frickley Athletic in midweek, while, unlike Genesis, they failed to return from FC United of Manchester with any points when visiting Gigg Lane at the end of last month.

The two sides haven't met in Yorkshire since March 2000 when goals from Brian Ross, Steve Jones and a debut strike from Ged Kielty sealed a 3-0 Leigh victory as Leigh headed towards winning the UniBond Premier League title and promotion to the Conference only a few weeks later.

Admission at Nethermoor Park is £7 for adults and £3.50 for concessions and juniors, with the ground a five minute walk from Guiseley train station or via junction 28 on the M62 if travelling by car.

Kick off is at 3pm; get yourself over t'hill and cheer the lads on.
