A date and venue has been confirmed for Leigh Genesis' Lancashire FA Co-Operative Challenge Trophy First Round tie with North West Counties League neighbours Atherton Collieries after the fixture was postponed for a fourth time on Wednesday evening.
FA rules dictate that, should a game be postponed on four or more occasions because of the state of the pitch, such cup ties will be reversed to home fixtures.
With Leigh only weeks away from moving in to the new Leigh Sports Village Stadium, an alternative venue had to be sought and, for the second time this season, Radcliffe Borough's Stainton Park ground will become a part of Leigh for the evening, with the victors of the tie ironically facing Radcliffe in the next round.
The cup tie with Atherton Collieries will take place next Tuesday (2nd December) with a 7:45pm kick off at Stainton Park.
The UniBond Premier League fixture with Prescot Cables, originally scheduled for that evening, will now be moved to a later date.
