After completing a Conference North double over Nuneaton last season, Stuart Humphreys' Leigh side will be looking to build upon Tuesday night's 2-0 win over Hucknall Town when they visit Borough's new Liberty Way home for the first time on Saturday.

With top scorer Kevin Rapley serving the first game of a three match suspension following his sending off in the 1-0 home defeat to Southport, former Preston striker Mark Jackson, who made only a fleeting substitute appearance on Tuesday, is likely to partner Kieran Lugsden, scorer of both midweek goals, in attack.

In the last meeting between the sides, a Kevin Rapley penalty was all that was needed to grab a vital 1-0 April victory at Hilton Park in RMI's penultimate home game of last season, while a Chris Simm strike was enough to secure victory by the same scoreline at Manor Park earlier in the season.

After appearing in the starting line up for the first time this season on Tuesday evening, luckless RMI captain Mark Maddox faces a race to be fit in time for the game at Nuneaton after being forced to withdraw from the action with injury, with the potential return of Scott Willis to the RMI midfield meaning that, in such circumstances, Gavin Lee-Ellison would replace Maddox at centre back, with Lee Unsworth moving to his more familiar position at right back after starting in central midfield against Hucknall.

After managing only a 0-0 draw at a Vauxhall Motors side that has conceded twenty six goals in nine games already this season, Nuneaton find themselves in mid-table, just a point ahead of RMI in a season that has seen Borough win only home game, a credible 2-1 win over Stalybridge Celtic, since moving to their new home.

Any fans that are wishing to travel to the game should note that it will be a 2:30pm kick off, with Liberty Way being reached via the A444 and A4254 after leaving the M6 at Junction 3.
