Four of Leigh RMI's most impressive players of the previous season have signed one year extentions to their current contracts, ensuring that their immediate futures remain at Hilton Park ahead of the commencement of this summer's pre-season training.

Defender Steve Brockley, who captained the side for a period towards the end of last season's thrilling fight against relegation, has extended his stay with his home-town club after coming through the club's youth ranks, while young winger Steve Settle impressed throughout the season after previously playing for Atherton Laburnum Rovers.

Two of Leigh boss Stuart Humphreys' most influential signings of the past year have also put pen to paper, with striker Kevin Rapley securing a permanent contract at the club following a particularly prolific spell towards the end of the season while left back Owen Roberts, a mid-season signing from Clitheroe, is to continue his climb up the non-league pyramid with another season in red and white.

 Although further signings have yet to be announced, these four contract extensions are sure to be a signal of intent in trying to secure the signing of last season's most impressive players, along with new players to boost the squad.
