This Tuesday evening sees the continuation of RMI's pre-season campaign when their fourth game of the summer sees them travel to Rossendale United. It's RMI's second visit of the summer to East Lancashire after they drew 1-1 at Clitheroe in their opening pre-season game, with Unibond League Division One side Rossendale providing the opposition on Tuesday evening.

In their last outing, RMI made their first pre-season appearance at Hilton Park this summer and produced a terrific performance to comfortably defeat Conference National side Altrincham, by two goals to nil. With a huge game next Saturday against FC United of Manchester, RMI boss Andy Nelson will be hoping for a stern test from Rossendale to continue his side's preparations for the new season.

Rossendale's ground is situated in the village of Newchurch in the heart of the Rossendale valley, and is almost completely inaccesible by public transport, especially as the game takes place in the evening. However, it can be reached if you catch the train to Burnley (services from Bolton) and catch the X43 bus to Rawtenstall, with the ground being a mile or so from Rawtenstall town centre.

The easier option is to travel by car, where you will need to get on to the M61 via Four Lane Ends and on to the M60 towards Rochdale, which then becomes the M62 towards Leeds. Come off the M62 at junction 18 (the M66 towards Bury). Go to the very end of the dual carriageway towards Rawtenstall. At the roundabout take the dual carriageway past the church (left lane). At the traffic lights turn right into Newchurch Road. After about one mile turn right into Staghills Road. The ground is about 400 yards on your right.

Admission is £3 for an adult, £2 for concessions and just £1 for children aged under 15's when accompanied by a full paying adult, with the game kicking off at 7:30pm.
