Peace Slams Sir Bobby Rumours

Club chairman Jeremy Peace released a statement on the clubs official website denying rumours that the club have already spoken to former Newcastle manager Sir Bobby Robson about taking Gary Megson's place as manager

Peace told the Official Website

"I have had absolutely no contact with Sir Bobby, nor has Gary Megson's job been offered to anyone else.

"The whole suggestion is preposterous.

"I just wish certain media sources would stop issuing such inaccurate and mischievous stories and allow West Bromwich to get on with what is a very important season for us."

Albion face Bolton tomorrow at the Hawthorns (kick-off 5:15 pm) without suspended pair Neil Clement and Darren Purse.

Bolton's Jay-Jay Okacha will most likely be involved after recovering from a groin strain which forced him out of their last game with Birmingham City.
