Albion's £3.3m Aruna Dindane Bid Turned Down

Albion have had a reported £3.3m rejected by Anderlecht for Aruna Dindane. The Baggies hopes of signing the Ivory Coast striker may not be dead and buried after Dindane claims that he wants a move to the Premiership Albion are thought to be lining up an improved offer from Dindane, who won the player's player of the year award last year.

Anderlecht general manager Herman Van Holsbeeck confirmed Albion's bid and said: "Portsmouth made a €5m (approx £3.3m) offer for Aruna, as did West Brom. But Aruna cannot leave."

But Albion may still be in with a chance of signing Dindane as he is currently unhappy at Anderlecht: "For me it is simple, I want to leave," the Ivory Coast striker said."
I am not happy with the fact that Anderlecht says that I must remain. I hope that the officials can reach an agreement as I want a new challenge.
"The club have promised that I might leave if they get a good offer. Now that is the possibility, but they do not want me to go. I will talk to the club once again."

Meanwhile, Albion have been linked with moves for Charlton's Paul Konchesky and former Arsenal midfielder Junichi Inamoto.
